Usage requests are how users request to download assets they would like to use. Administrators have the option to grant or deny usage requests, and can create a freestanding grant when appropriate. We recommend sharing the instructions for creating and viewing usage requests with users who will have restricted access to assets. 




Create a Usage Request

  1. Select the asset(s)

  2. Go to to More Actions in the toolbar

  3. Select Usage Request from the dropdown.

  4. Provide information about how the assets will be used.

  5. Click Request.



View Personal Usage Requests

  1. Go to the Assets tab.

  2. Scroll until you see Usage Requests.

  3. Click on it to view all of your Usage Requests in a searchable, sortable table.



View All User Usage Requests

  1. Go to the License & Usage tab.

  2. Scroll until you see Usage Requests

  3. Click on it to view all pending Usage Requests in a searchable, sortable table. 



View User Usage Grants

  1. Go to the License & Usage tab.

  2. Scroll until you see Usage Grants

  3. Click on it to view all Usage Grants in a searchable, sortable table.


Grant/Deny User Usage Requests

  1. Go to the License & Usage tab.

  2. Scroll until you see Usage Requests.

  3. Click on it to view all pending Usage Requests.

  4. Locate the desired request(s).

  5. Click the checkbox to the left and choose from these options: Approve, Deny, Remove.


Tip: If you want to view the requested assets before approving a request, click the eye icon in the right side of the request.


Create Usage Grant

  1. Select the asset(s)

  2. Go to to More Actions in the toolbar

  3. Select Create Usage Grant or press Shift + G

  4. Enter the email address(es) of the people you are granting access.

  5. Provide additional information such as expiration date and terms.

  6. Click Create.
