Not all assets are stored in Tandem Vault, and some colleagues or clients may share assets with you that you would like to transfer to and from your Vault account. Vault is equipped to integrate with these external storage options:

  • Dropbox
  • Box
  • Google Drive

Integrating your account will allow you to upload Vault assets to your external account(s) and download assets from them into Vault. 


Connect External Storage

  1. Go to Your Name in the top right of the window

  2. Click Account

  3. Go to Profile Settings

  4. Click the blue button for the application(s) you want to connect

  5. Sign into your external account, if necessary, and grant access. 


Upload from External Storage

  1. Click the blue Upload button in the upper right corner from anywhere in Vault.

  2. Give it a name.

  3. Enter additional information, skipping anything that isn’t relevant. 

  4. Click Submit.

  5. Click the dropdown button next to Add Files in the upper right.

  6. Select your External Storage from the options in the dropdown menu.

  7. Select them.

  8. Wait for your files to finish uploading and processing before leaving the page so they save.




Download to External Storage

  1. Select the asset(s).

  2. Click Download in the upper right of the preview or from the toolbar at the top.

  3. If applicable, specify a folder in your external storage account.*

  4. Select the External Storage option from the menu. 


Tip: Selecting ‘Direct’ will save the download to your hard drive. 



* You can select any folder in your Google Drive or Box account, but must select a folder inside the TandemVault folder in your Dropbox account (per their security settings). 




If you have connected multiple external storage options for uploading purposes but only intend to download into one of the four options, you can specify your preference under your profile settings. Follow these steps:


Pick Default Download Destination

  1. Go to Account > Profile Settings
  2. Click the toggle next to Default Download Destination
  3. Click Update



Disconnect Integrations

  1. Go to Your Name in the top right of the window

  2. Click Account

  3. Go to Profile Settings

  4. Click ‘Disconnect?’ next to the undesired integration. 

  5. Confirm your choice. 


Tip: You can also get to these options by clicking on Integration Settings when you try to download assets.
