License Groups are an easy way for you to track contracts and documents connected to particular assets. To begin using License Groups, watch the video and follow the instructions below. See the chart at the end of the article for a full list of the settings. 


Create a License Group

  1. Go to the License & Usage tab.
  2. Scroll until you find Licenses.
  3. Click + License Group.
  4. Give it a name.
  5. Attach any files.
  6. Fill in any other information, such as an expiration date or summary of the legal restrictions on the assets.
  7. Click Submit to save.



Tip: You can also create a new License Group when you create a new Upload Set by clicking the + License Group option under License Group. 




Edit a License Group

  1. Go to the License & Usage tab.

  2. Scroll until you find Licenses.

  3. Click License Groups.

  4. Locate the desired Group by scrolling or searching. 

  5. Click the pencil icon next to it.

  6. Make your changes.

  7. Click Submit to save.



View all Assets in a License Group

  1. Go to the License & Usage tab.

  2. Scroll until you find Licenses.

  3. Click Licenses Groups.

  4. Locate the desired Group by scrolling or searching. 

  5. Click the eye icon next to it.



View all License Groups

  1. Go to the License & Usage tab.

  2. Scroll until you find Licenses.

  3. Click License Groups.

  4. View all License Groups in a searchable, sortable table. 


Apply a License Group to Assets

  1. Select the asset(s).

  2. Go to More Actions in the toolbar at the top of the browsing pane.

  3. Select Modify License Group.

  4. Choose your License Group from the dropdown menu.

  5. Click apply. 



Delete a License Group

  1. Go to the License & Usage tab.

  2. Scroll until you find Licenses.

  3. Click License Groups.

  4. Locate the undesired Group by scrolling or searching. 

  5. Click the trashcan icon next to it.

  6. Confirm your choice.
