Vault comes equipped with two distinct but complementary means of labeling assets for easy searching: Tags and Taxonomy. Tags allow you to boost the searchability of your assets. 




Add a Tag to an Asset

  1. Click on an asset.

  2. Type your new or existing tag into the section called Tags.

  3. Press Enter on your keyboard.


Tip: Vault will autofill related tags as your type. If you see the tag you want, click it. 


Bulk Add Tags

  1. Select your assets. 

  2. Click More Actions in the toolbar at the top.

  3. Select Bulk Update Meta from the dropdown menu.

  4. Enter your tags under the Tags section. 

  5. Click Update. 


Create a Synonym for a Tag

  1. Go to the Assets tab. 

  2. Scroll until you see Tags. 

  3. Click on it to view all tags in the system in a searchable, sortable table. 

  4. Locate the tag by scrolling or searching. 

  5. Enter the synonym into the box labeled Synonym. 

  6. Press Enter.  

Edit a Tag

  1. Go to the Assets tab
  2. Scroll until you see Tags
  3. Locate the tag by scrolling or searching
  4. Click the tag
  5. Make your changes
  6. Click the blue checkmark if you are satisfied


Delete a Tag from an Asset

  1. Locate the asset.

  2. Click on the asset to preview it.

  3. Click the small ‘x’ next to the tag to delete. 

Bulk Delete Tags

  1. Select your assets. 

  2. Click More Actions in the toolbar at the top.

  3. Select Bulk Update Meta from the dropdown menu.

  4. Enter the undesired tags into the Remove Tags section. 

  5. Click Update. 


View Tag Library

  1. Go to the Assets tab. 

  2. Scroll until you see Tags. 

  3. Click on it to view all tags in the system in a searchable, sortable table.




View all Assets under a Tag

  1. Go to the Assets tab. 

  2. Scroll until you see Tags. 

  3. Click on it to view all tags in the system in a searchable, sortable table. 

  4. Locate the tag by scrolling or searching. 

  5. Click the eye icon. 


Tip: You can also search for the tag in the global search bar and click the desired tag when Vault autofills it. 


Delete a Tag from Account

  1. Go to the Assets tab. 

  2. Scroll until you see Tags. 

  3. Click on it to view all tags in the system in a searchable, sortable table. 

  4. Locate the tag by scrolling or searching. 

  5. Click the trashcan icon. 

  6. Confirm your choice.
