Tandem Vault is structured for administrators to divide users into groups based on the level access they need to features and assets. However, sometimes a user starts in one group and needs to be moved to a new one, needs to take on additional duties, or now needs to access more of the archive than other users in their Permission Level.
Rather than creating an entire Permission Level for one user, you can customize an individual user's access. Follow the steps below to customize a single user's access without affecting other users in the same Permission Level.
Customize Permission Level
- Go to Users > All Members
- Find the user by scrolling or searching
- Click on the pencil tool to the right of the user's name
- Check the boxes next to the additional permissions you want to grant
- Click Update
The word "customized" will now appear next to this user's name.
If you have a user who started in say, the general user category but has been promoted to admin status or moved from one department to another, follow the steps below to change their permission level.
Change a User's Permission Level
- Go to Users > All Members
- Find the user by scrolling or searching
- Click the pencil icon next to their name
- Select their new permission level from the alphabetized dropdown at the top
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Update.
