If you are migrating from Cumulus and have separate metadata that needs to be embedded, we can pair the metadata to your assets once the assets have been uploaded to your Vault account. It does not matter who uploads your assets or whether they were uploaded in one upload set or many.

To successfully pair your metadata to your assets, we need an .xml file containing the metadata fields and at least one unique characteristic so that our system can distinguish between similar assets and avoid data collisions. The preferred characteristics are file size and file name. Because these metadata fields are already embedded in files, these pieces of information are available to us and act as anchors to help us match the correct metadata to the correct assets.

The most popular metadata categories that clients request are keywords, location, and the author (or creator) of the file, but we are happy to fill in any other relevant fields you may have stored.

To request a pairing, contact your rep or reach out to our staff at info@tandemvault.com.

Note: Your metadata fields must correspond to standard IPTC categories. If you're not sure about a particular category, consult our staff at info@tandemvault.com for more information.
